BIOMASS

Biomass heating plant can be installed on a local or district basis, providing a carbon neutral solution to the delivery of space heating, hot water provision or process heat. ESP offers design, installation and project management services relating to wood chip, wood pellet and bespoke biomass systems.

MICRO CHP

Micro CHP (combined heat and power) systems are now available with electrical outputs of between 5kW and 25kW, meaning that CHP is now suitable for relatively small-scale applications such as tower blocks, small commercial premises and care homes. Although micro-CHP normally runs on natural gas, it has a very high operating efficiency and is recognised as a low carbon technology under the 2008 Energy Act. Micro-CHP can produce large cost savings by reducing the requirement for electricity imports from the national grid.

AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

Air source heat pumps can deliver carbon savings and reductions in heating bills for residential and commercial users. ESP offers full design, installation and project management services for air to air and air to water heat pump systems.

BIOFUEL STATIC GENERATION

Heat and power generation using CHP is a proven method of achieving high levels of energy efficiency. Qualifying good quality CHP plants using bio fuels currently attract 2 ROCs (Renewable Obligation Certificates) which can provide an income stream whilst also reducing carbon output.
